Anything beyond 300 is considered to be a good score, one who wishes targeting top schools should have a score of 325 and above out of 340.
Technically the GRE scores are valid for five years, however top schools would not consider the scores which are over three years old.
Most of the students take the GRE once or twice, multiple attempts with no improvement in scores would lead to the application rejection. If 3-4 months of quality preparation time is dedicated, then there shouldn’t be any need to revise the GRE general exam.
It is advisable to start preparing the GRE right from your 2nd-3rd of your graduation. This gives a student the proper edge and sufficient time to assess the profile, academic scores, shortlisting of colleges and be considered for scholarships. Ideally GRE test is taken 2 years before your target intake.
